The old RnB goodies <3

I am at the moment very tired of mainstream dance/pop music so when Nicki dropped her new single ”Starships” this week it felt like the straw that broke the camel’s back. Can somebody tell me WHY all the urban/rnb artists leave their roots and fall into what everyone else are doing: dance/pop/house music. Britney has that area covered already, so stop trying to replace her -_-. Some of the artists that I am refering to are: Usher, Flo Rida, Nicki Minaj, Kelly Rowland, Leona Lewis, Cher Lloyd, Jordin Sparks and to some extent Rihanna and Chris Brown. I think that it is sad that they are so desperate for fame and money that they have to change music style only to ”PLEASE” the trends and get more cash.

In this grief I have now decided to dedicate a post to the real artists of pure 90s/early 00s RnB music. Gosh, I really miss this music style! Not so many people nowadays would dare to release those kind of songs, but we have one exception: Ciara. Damn that girl is strong, none of her latest albums were successful, but she is not giving up her groovy RnB roots! bless her <3.

I can assure you that these music videos don’t have any tracks of electro beats. 😉

I don’t feel like expressing my thoughts anymore now, ”so I will let the funky music do the talking” (-Girls Aloud- I can’t speak French melody 😉 ).
